C&C Home Services

Licensing and Insurance

Last updated October 22, 2026.

Who does the work on your home, and what the State of Texas requires of them.

Who does the work

C&C Home Services does home repair and improvement work with its own crew and with independent trade professionals it trusts. We stay responsible to you for the work under your signed agreement.

Electrical, plumbing and HVAC

Electrical, plumbing and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) work is done only by people who hold the Texas license that work requires. Electricians and air-conditioning contractors hold their license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR); plumbers hold theirs from the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners. C&C coordinates that work; C&C does not hold those licenses itself.

You can look up any license on the state agency's website. Ask us for the name and license number of the trade professional before work starts.

Other home repair work

Texas has no general state license for home repair and remodeling contractors. Some cities require a permit for some work; when a permit is needed, we tell you before work starts, and your agreement says who gets it.

Insurance

Before you sign, ask us what insurance covers your job. We will answer in writing, and we do not describe any job as covered unless a certificate is on file.

Older homes

In a home built before 1978, painting, sanding or demolition that disturbs paint follows the federal lead-safe work rules.
